That at any moment she will do something crazy and randomly say "Let's go away to the coast for a few days just the two of us". But boring old tom will be like "no i have work and can't afford it and make up some lame excuse" Always holding her back.

Hopefully she will come to her senses and leave tom so that he doesn't ask her to marry her and she says yes and before she knows it she is 40 years old, wandering where her life went by and he is out cheating on her working a corporate job and it will all be too late....
